ADFIL Fibrin 660F Floor Screed Reinforcement Fibre - 12.74 Kgs

Bulk carton contains 14 - 910g Water Soluable Bags

The Fibrin 660F is a fibrillated polypropylene fibre that reduces the occurrence of shrinkage cracking and plastic settlement whilst enhancing the surface properties and the durability of the hardened sand/cement floor screeds. The fibres are cut to lengths of 6mm and have a nominal thickness of 50 microns. The fibres are coated to improve dispersion and bond.  PLEASE NOTE:  These fibres are Monofilament Plastic and NOT Alkali-Resistant Glass Fibres.

General Applications

  • Floor Screeds

Advantges & Benefits

  • Reduced Shrinkage Cracks
  • Reduced Settlement
  • Reduced Bleed (excess water rising to surface)
  • Alternative to Crack Control Mesh
  • Increased Abrasion Properties
  • Increased Impact Resistance

Mixing Directions:
The Fibrin fibres should be added to your mix at a rate of 910g per cubic metre of screed.  You’ll need to determine the capacity of your mixer in order to add the correct amount of fibres.  Some mixer manufacturers publish this information online.  If you are unable to find this info, the easiest way to measure your mixer is to fill it with water and then pour the water into a builder’s bucket of known capacity.

Example: Let’s say you’ve measured your mixer and determined that it has a capacity of 90 litres.  Multiply 90  by 0.91 and you come up with a figure of 81.9 grams of fibres for every mixer load.  If in doubt, give us a ring and we can help you work this out - please measure your mixer first!

In floor screeds the fibres should ideally be added to the mixer along with one third of the mixing water.  After all the other ingredients have been added, including the remaining mixing water, the material should be mixed for a minimum of 70 revolutions at full speed to ensure uniform fibre dispersion.  In the case of site mixing, a minimum of 70 drum revolutions is highly recommended.
