Bulk carton contains 20 - 1000g, water soluable bags.
The Fibrin range of monofilament, polypropylene fibres reduce the occurrence of shrinkage and settlement cracking, whilst enhancing the surface properties and durability of hardened cement-based products. The fibres are extremely fine, single filaments cut to lengths of 6mm. The fibres are coated to improve initial dispersion and bond. Fibrin fibres are extremely fine and although slightly visible at the plastic (wet) stage, are not readily seen on the hardened surface. PLEASE NOTE: These fibres are Monofilament Plastic and NOT Alkali-Resistant Glass Fibres.

In order to ensure that you are not specifying a technically inferior product please ensure that your specification conforms to include the following:
- Material: 100% Virgin Polypropylene
- Design: Monofilament Fibre
- Fibre Length: 3,6,12 & 18mm (Cemcraft only stocks 6mm at this time)
- Surface: Coated for dispersion
- Density: 910kg / m3
- Colour: Natural

- Alkali Resistance: 100%
The Fibrin fibres should be added to your mix at a rate of 1000g per cubic metre of mortar or render (or 1.0 grams per litre). You’ll need to determine the capacity of your mixer in order to add the correct amount of fibres. Some mixer manufacturers publish this information online. If you are unable to find this info, the easiest way to measure your mixer is to fill it with water and then pour the water into a builder’s bucket of known capacity.
Example: Let’s say you’ve measured your mixer and determined that it has a capacity of 90 litres. Multiply 90 by 1.0 and you come up with a figure of 90 Grams per mixer load.

In mortar & render the fibres should ideally be added to the mixer along with one third of the mixing water. After all the other ingredients have been added, including the remaining mixing water, the material should be mixed for a minimum of 70 revolutions at full speed to ensure uniform fibre dispersion. In the case of site mixing, a minimum of 70 drum revolutions is highly recommended.
